*Important - players should participate in the age group based on their age as of April 30, 2018

Please arrive no less than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

  • Evaluations will be held at the new indoor training facility in Firefighters Memorial park.
  • A brief parents meeting will be held at the start of each age group on Saturday, March 4th only.
  • All evaluations are closed to parents/family members.   This is necessary to reduce distractions for the players and to avoid player nervousness/stress that occasionally results from a parent's presence.   For the younger players, the absence of parents also helps assess a player's readiness for a competitive environment.
  • Players should bring their tennis/gym shoes and change into them inside the facility to avoid tracking mud/salt onto the turf.
  • Cleats are NOT allowed on the turf.
  • Baseball pants are not required, however, please no shorts (the turf can be rough on bare skin).
  • Baseball caps are strongly encouraged.
  • Please, no food, drinks, gum, or seeds.  A water fountain is available inside the facility.
  • Each player must bring their own glove and they are encouraged to bring their own helmet and bat.   Batting helmets, and a limited selection of bats, will be available for players who do not bring their own.
  • Players who wish to demonstrate their skills as catcher during the evaluations should bring their catchers gear.   MBSC catchers gear will also be available for use during the evaluations.
