Recreational Teams

Players in our recreational program compete against other rec teams throughout Dane and Sauk counties.

Philosophy: This multi-community recreational softball program is dedicated to providing age and skill-appropriate opportunities with an emphasis on learning and executing fundamental skills in a fun and positive atmosphere. The focus is on good sportsmanship, team play, courtesy and respect to players, coaches, officials and parents.

Team Composition: The league director organizes teams. A skills assessment is held in March to assist with team organization. Player requests will be considered as we're able, given team sizes and numbers of players. All teams are coached by volunteer coaches. Players typically begin pitching at the 10U level (grades 3-4). Younger level is coach pitch.

All teams are formed in mid-April. Practices begin in May and are scheduled by team coaches.
