Philosophy: The Pepper League is a recreational program. The purpose and spirit of the Pepper League is to teach and play baseball, not necessarily winning. The league does not keep win/loss records. The Pepper league has no state or national affiliation. 13 year old players are not allowed to pitch. |
Season: The season begins the first Tuesday after school is completed. Games are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning at 6:00 PM. The season runs for 7 weeks. The season culminates with an All-Star game played in late July and is followed by hot dogs and soda for all league players. |
Team Composition: The league director, without consideration to talent levels organizes teams. Consideration is given to keeping players from the same neighborhood or school together. There are typically 4 teams from Middleton plus a team each from the West Middleton and Cross Plains programs. |
