Philosophy: The Jr. Legion program is a competitive program that plays in the State Line League Baseball Association and has both state and national affiliations. This program requires a major commitment by players who have selected baseball as their primary sport and are considering playing varsity level baseball at Middleton High School. Season: The season begins in early June immediately following the end of school and is completed by the end of July. The team plays around 24 games in a 6 week period. Games are played any day of the week with weekday games starting between 5:30 and 7:00 PM. The league portion of the season is completed by approximately the second weekend in July. The Middleton Jr. Legion team most host a qualifier for the state Jr. Legion tournament at the High School. The winner of this qualifier goes to the Wisconsin State tournament. The season is completed by the end of July. |

Team Composition: The team is generally comprised of the players who played on the JV team at Middleton High School. The Middleton teams typically are comprised of 13-14 players, if more players express an interest in participating, a tryout may be held. |

Tournaments: The Commission with the help of the Jr. Legion team and their parents may occasionally host the qualifier tournament at Middleton High School Field. The League director from the Commission will help organize the tournament. |
