NOTICE OF INTENT TO DECLARE MBSC MEMBERSHIP

We're getting ready to begin our planning and preparations for off-season activities and the 2018 summer baseball and softball programs.  The first meeting of the Middleton Baseball & Softball  Commission will be held Wednesday, September 13,2017 7:30pm at Baymont Inn & Suites.

MBSC constitution guidelines indicate that any person who has actively participated for one year in an MBSC program as an associate member or a commission member who has directed an MBSC program may become a candidate for election to full MBSC membership in October.  


Anyone wishing to become a full voting member of the MBSC must notify the MBSC President (Jay Smith at 608-445-3611 or mbscwiboard@gmail.com)  of their intent on or before the date of the September 13, 2017 MBSC meeting in order to be considered for election as a full Commission member.

We need your help!  Here are some of the opportunities available:

- Committee Chair (or participant) for the following committees:  

  • Coach & Player development (includes Coaches Clinic)
  • Concessions
  • Field Scheduling
  • Sponsorships
  • Umpires
  • Purchasing (Uniforms & Equipment)
  • Technology (website, registration, field scheduling system, communications)
  • Safety & Background Checks
  • Capital improvements (liaison with city)
  • Rec Softball & Baseball All Star games
  • Work Days (Spring & Fall)
  • Tournament / Special Event Coordinators (MBSC Youth Baseball Tournament, Special Olympics, Midwest Fastpitch Showcase, Charity Softball game, Premier Girls Fastpitch Tournament)
  • Fall Ball
  • Spring Fundraiser (Good Hops beer tasting)
     

Our baseball & softball programs cannot succeed without the help of many individuals.  THANK YOU to all who have helped.

Please consider helping with any of these opportunities to assist us in making our program better for all!
