For the second year in a row this team won the Wisconsin State championship and advanced to the Ohio Valley Regional.  This year it was held in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky where 12 strong teams competed for a chance to advance to the World Series.  Middleton went 3-0 in Pool play beating Southern Indiana (7-4), Ohio (3-2), and W. Virginia (13-2) and earned a 3 seed for bracket play.  Then lost to Southern Indiana (7-1) finishing the season 20-5.  Middleton led the tournament in team defense and base running and was rated just above the middle of the pack for team hitting and pitching.  Plenty of drama, excitement, and hard nose baseball all season.
